There is, in the Reading Control Room, a Siemens Common Database which interfaces to various subsystems. Reading have long been at the forefront of UTMC developments and have purchased an additional RSS feeds to garner further data, a BBC Tpeg feed for accidents and incidents as well as the possibility of combining data with neighbouring systems. Further optional upgrades to the system include at outputting this information to travellers using Digital Television.
